Penny Choo’s journey was anything but a straight line. She started with a Food Science and Nutrition degree, juggling three jobs just to pay for her classes. After graduating, she moved through quality assurance and nutrition advisory roles, before discovering her true calling at the intersection of flowers, technology, and entrepreneurship.

In 2015, she and her husband co-founded Bloomthis. Starting with just the two of them, working from home, storing flowers in their own fridge. Today, Bloomthis is Malaysia’s leading online florist and gifting platform, built on proprietary technology and a mission to create moments of happiness through unforgettable gifting experiences.

She leads with warmth, builds with rigour, and has proven that a business rooted in beauty can also be built to last.
